Reduction of School Fees

GSIS has had a longstanding policy to consider social aspects of students attending the school on a case-by-case basis. This holds particularly true for German, Swiss and Austrian nationals and their children, for whom attendance at the German Stream of GSIS is the only way of receiving an education similar to that of their respective home countries.

Reduction of school fees is possible for qualified applicants determined by a means test. For newly enrolled children no reduction will be possible in the first year of attendance at school.

Whilst applicants will have to disclose detailed personal and financial information as part of the means testing, their application will be submitted to the GSIS Finance Committee for the ultimate decision. This is done on an anonymous basis, ensuring a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.

All applicants or prospective applicants who believe they may require assistance to meet school fees are encouraged to contact the Director of Finance for the best understanding of what resources may be available to meet their needs.
