Overview
The philosophy of the English International Stream (EIS) is focused on providing an outstanding personalised education to all students. Our aim is to develop intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, courage, and genuine enthusiasm for learning among all students. We believe that these qualities provide the foundation necessary for young people to flourish and embrace an ever-changing world with confidence, compassion, and acuity.
The EIS is an academically selective school, and the pace of learning is brisk. We ensure that students develop an understanding of the tools and strategies for successful learning and provide an environment that challenges and inspires them to develop and discover their untapped potential. We believe in the significance of a holistic education, which involves nurturing unique personal qualities and a strong sense of values. Our purpose is to promote a profound sense of joy and fulfillment in every student by cultivating individual interests and passions across a wide array of subjects and activities such as the arts, sports, community service, and entrepreneurship.
Developing a strong sense of agency for young people is also important to us where we place them at the centre of decision-making, encouraging engagement, and supporting their ambition. We champion independent thinking guided by an acceptance of diversity within the various communities to which we belong. Our culture embraces tolerance, compassion, and resilience recognizing and appreciating the values that differences bring.
An EIS education culminates in the IB Diploma which is focused on an open-minded, international perspective. Our academic programme delivers outstanding results in the IGCSE and IB Diploma where our achievements are consistently ranked among the top globally. Coupled with additional opportunities, this serves as a strong base for successful university applications to renowned institutions worldwide.
