German Swiss International School is proud of its Board of Directors who bring a wealth of specialist knowledge, skills, and experience to shape the school's future strategy while offering support and advice to the Principal, Chief Administrative Officer, and Senior Management Team. Comprising a group of alumni and current parents, the Board is invested in nurturing the school and maintaining German Swiss International Schools’ tradition of representing different stakeholder groups through various sub-committees. German Swiss International School is a company limited by guarantee and granted charitable status by the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. It is bound to comply with Hong Kong Company Law and the requirements set out in the Hong Kong Education Ordinance. The Board elects from its Directors the Chair, who convenes and presides over all meetings and who acts for and on behalf of the Association. Parents, members of the Association and persons nominated by the Board can become members of several sub-committees.

The German Swiss International School Association is responsible for operational aspects of the school, including compliance with local and German and Swiss government regulations and guidelines.The German Swiss International School Foundation is responsible for managing the schools' fixed assets, including the buildings and infrastructure as well as the debenture corpus.

MEMBERSHIP

Current German Swiss International School parents, alums or parents of alums who paid membership fees for the past academic year, are eligible to renew their membership. New parents or alums can apply as new members. The annual membership fee for the GSIS Association Ltd. is HK$100. Association members, have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meetings (EGM) to participate in the affairs of GSIS Association Ltd.

MEMBERSHIP

All individual debenture holders are automatically a member of the German Swiss International School Foundation Ltd. Foundation members have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meetings (EGM) to participate in the affairs of The German Swiss International School Foundation Ltd. Corporate debenture holders need to appoint their representative who will vote on behalf of the corporation.
