Our German Kindergarten got a very special visit from the group "Plastic Free Seas" on Tuesday, 19 February, a group of people who aim to reduce the amount of plastic that winds up in Hong Kongs waters.
The morning started with a lively presentation, in which the students learned about peoples plastic use habits and that we all need to be mindful of how much we use in our lives - and especially how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
These 3 R's were then put to practical use, when all the students, along with their parents, created beautiful pieces of art with plastic materials that were washed up onto shore from the sea.
This was an overall wonderful and educational experience that has surely left an impression on all the students lives. Hopefully we will see less plastic in our waters as time goes on!
