In line with German National Day, which was celebrated on 3 October, GSIS had the honour of attending the annual celebrations organised by the German Consulate General on 9 October. This year was truly special for us: a GSIS choir opened the ceremony with beautiful renditions of the German and Chinese National Anthems.
On Friday, 21 September, GSIS hosted the annual University Fair – an event at which we welcome representatives from over 60 universities to present information on their campuses and curricula to our students, as well as answer any questions they might have.
With many of our senior students choosing to head to university soon after graduating, this was a great opportunity for them to scope out the possibilities and determine which ones are the right fit for them.

Wir sind stolz darauf, dass alle unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler die Deutsche Internationale Abiturprüfung bestanden haben und den ausgezeichneten Gesamtnotendurchschitt von 1,9 erzielten. Wie auch schon in den letzten zwei Schuljahren erzielte ein Schüler die Höchstnote 1,0.

Retracing the life of Jaycee Lee Dugard, a girl who was kidnapped and held hostage by a couple in California, IB Drama students, Nichole, Yiqing, Audrey and Heidi presented a haunting yet powerful performance for their final project. The girls explored and portrayed the inner struggles and fear of Jaycee, her mother and kidnappers in this 20-minute drama with distinct facial expressions and body language.
