GSIS Easter Camp

The GSIS Easter Camp is a wonderful opportunity for GSIS and siblings to participate in sports and intellectual activities to discover their own strengths and find new interests. We offer a fun-filled Easter break with qualified teachers and a secure environment on our Peak Primary school campus. Our camp director, Mr. Davidson (Head of Individual Needs and Data Management), along with his team, welcome all students between 5 and 11 years (Y01-Y06 / DVOR-K05) to participate in physical activities (e.g. football, yoga) as well as other fun-filled daily activities (e.g. cooking, arts & crafts, and team trivia challenges). The GSIS Easter Camp will be held in both English and German, with Mr. Budwill running bilingual sports activities.

Additional Notes:

• Parents are responsible for the transport to and from the Easter Camp.
• Children must bring their own food and drinks - lunch will NOT be provided by the school.

Easter Swimming Camp (by Jet Wave Solution)

In addition to the Easter Camp on 3, 4 and 6 April 2023, we are excited to offer an 'Easter Swimming Camp (by Jet Wave Solution)' at the GSIS from 11 to 14 April 2023 for GSIS students and their siblings from 5-11 years (Y01-Y06 / DVOR-K05). EASTER CAMP 'VOICE ACTING & SOUND EFFECTS, COMEDY EDITION' BY BABEL FILM WORKSHOP LIMITED

We are very excited to offer you a new Easter Camp option 'Voice Acting & Sound Effects, Comedy Edition' by Babel Film Workshop Limited to our students in K03-K05 and Y04-Y06. Please see below for further details:

Camp Title: 'Voice Acting & Sound Effects, Comedy Edition'
Dates: Tuesday, 11 April to Friday, 14 April 2023
Time: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm (total 10 hours)
Course Fee: HK$ 3,500 per person
Min/Max participants number: 6/12
Year groups: K03-K05 and Y04-Y06
Course Description: Wondering how the voices and sounds are created for animated movie characters? Many students have seen animations from Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks before, but few can claim to have made their own voices and sounds for them. In this Easter camp, students will learn to bring comedic animated characters to life using their own voices and sounds.
Students will:
· Create new versions of an animated movie scene using their voices and sound effects
· Learn how to record and edit voice performances and sound effects
· Understand how filmmakers use voices and sound to create comedic moments
· Feel entertained by hearing their own voices and sounds in a professional movie

German basketball champion ALBA BERLIN will host our 2023 Easter Basketball Camps for our students at the GSIS Peak Campus from Tuesday, 11 April to Friday, 14 April 2023.

„Perfect the Basics“ Camp for Primary School

Details: Group: K03/K04 & Y05/Y06 (Boys & Girls): 09:30 - 11:30 am
Date: Tuesday, 11 April to Friday, 14 April 2023
Time: 9:30 - 11:30 am
Location: GSIS Peak Campus, Sports hall Lower Building (L401)
Cost: HKD 3,300 per person, including ALBA BERLIN shirt and camp certificates, the chance to win official ALBA BERLIN merchandise
Limited to 20 participants
Description:
The “Perfect the Basics' Camp focuses on perfecting the fundamentals of basketball in a fun environment to maximise every participant’s skill level of each of the essential skills: Shooting, Footwork/Pivoting, Finishing, Ball-Handling and Passing. The ALBA BERLIN coaches will show participants the best ways to improve their game, so everyone can reach their full potential as basketball players. Both beginners and more advanced players are welcome!

 

“King of the Court” Camp for Secondary School (previous basketball experience recommended)

Details: Group 1: K05-K08 & Y07-Y09 Boys & Girls: 12:00-2:00 pm
Group 2: K09-K12 & Y10-Y13 Boys & Girls - 2:30-4:30 pm
Date: Tuesday, 11 April to Friday, 14 April 2023
Time: 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm (K05-K08 & Y07-Y09), 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm (K09-K12 & Y10-Y13)
Location: GSIS Peak Campus, Sports hall Lower Building (L401)
Cost: HKD 3,300 per person, including ALBA BERLIN shirt and camp certificates, the chance to win official ALBA BERLIN merchandise (1st place receives Adidas basketball shoes)

Description:
During the ALBA BERLIN “King of the Court” Basketball Camp participants can expect a 4-day training programme elevating their basketball skills, basketball-specific athleticism and basketball IQ to the next level. Additionally, ALBA BERLIN coaches will help boost your confidence to become better decision-makers and communicators on and off the basketball court. Highlight: On the final camp day participants will have the chance to showcase their skills and battle it out in a 1 on 1 tournament for the title “King of the Court”. The contestants will be able to win exclusive prizes and can earn bragging rights as the 1 on 1 Champion at GSIS.
