The number of students scoring the full 45 IB points has increased from four to five. Big congrats to Rachel (Class of '19) on this big achievement, joining Sophia, Arista, Jocelyn and Philip in our record books - along with all of last year's Y13 students, who collectively secured us the top 5 spot worldwide!
The German Swiss International School is renowned for being a place of academic excellence, with students’ wellbeing placed on an equal footing with their academic achievements.
I am delighted to hear this year’s fantastic IB results and we are so incredibly proud of all our candidates. These students have not only worked immensely hard to gain these results, they have also wholeheartedly contributed to GSIS throughout their time at the school. We wish them all the very best for their bright futures.
Ulrich Weghoff
Principal
This year’s Year 13 students have continued the school’s record of highly impressive results in the IB Diploma with a commendable 100% pass rate. Of the IB Diploma cohort, four students achieved full marks of 45 placing them among the top IB students worldwide.
GSIS’s current average points score is 39.9 out of a possible 45, and will probably rise following remarks; this score is well above the 2018 world average of 29.8 points and once again places GSIS amongst the top achieving schools worldwide.
Mr Ulrich Weghoff, Principal, said "I am delighted to hear this year’s fantastic IB results and we are so incredibly proud of all our candidates.
