The South China Morning Post and The Hong Kong Jockey Club have reinstated the most prestigious annual secondary school event – the Student of the Year Awards.
As reported by the South China Morning Post, the Awards originally ran for 32 consecutive years from 1974 to 2006 and are still being widely recognised by schools, students and teachers. The Awards celebrate the achievements of senior-level students in six categories and hail the brightest young leaders of tomorrow.
In the past GSIS regularly gained one or more of the awards each year and we are proud to see one of our students and previous winners, Hugh Kam, now serving on the judging panel of the Student of the Year Linguistic Award.
GSIS has nominated students for a number of categories and we are keen to hear about the results, which will be announced in 2014.
Good luck to our nominees!
